I am going off to college in Tokyo and i want to keep in touch with all my family and friends. I was thinking of like a blog sort of thing so they can all read it (so I don't have to contact all of them one by one. I have a huge family.) Why am I as well as all of my family and friends getting calls from an Idaho number?
Over the past couple of days, I must have gotten calls repeatedly from an Idaho number. This person calls landlines and cell phones from all over Pennsylvania because my family and friends say they got calls from him too. Idaho is on the other side of the country and I really don't understand why that person keeps calling us. I don't even know anyone from Idaho but I do have a friend who goes to college there but I don't think that the person got all of our numbers from her especially since she doesn't even know any of my family or their numbers.

Do we have greater responsibility to our friends & family than we do to strangers?
If two people are drowning, one of them being a stranger and another being a friend/relative, I would argue that most people would save their friend/relative and that they would be justified in doing so. Overall I think that we have a greater duty to our family & friends and then to the people in our community, followed by all other members of humanity, and lastly to animals. I think that all these groups are under different social contracts and that some naturally take precedence before others.
