if they did they would of worked on a health reform bill way back when they were in control under the BUSH admin. President Obama told the country that if we elect him he will reform health care. We elected him to do so. Now the bill has been drawn up and the republicans asked for a month to read it. It's not up for debate they get to read it then in September we will pass it with or without them.

Why is the bill that recently passed referred to as Health Care Reform?
The changes caused by the bill are health insurance changes. It does not reform health care but health insurance. So why not call it health insurance reform. Just because someone has insurance, does not mean that they will get the health care they want or need. I have insurance but it does not cover eyes or renal failure or chiropractic care. So I would qualify as having coverage. But there are some things that I would not be able to get.

Im currently in college obtaining a degree in communication disorders, and then will obtain my masters to become a speech language pathologist. The new health care legislation that is in the works----it seems like many more Americans will have some kind of health insurance with this new legislation. I really don't know what to believe. Will this new legislation help to make prescription drugs more affordable?
