Is it redundant to say in a paper: "This has a negative stigma attached to it?"?
I am writing a paper, and I want to say that something has a "negative stigma" attached to it. Is this redundant because stigma already comes with a negative connotation? Any English majors or professors care to help? Thanks!

I have a personal preference towards dating women taller than me and I am very secure about it. I am a 5'10"ish male, but I am looking to dating women 5'11"+ I know someone is going to ask me 'why' and I just love the look of a taller woman. We can't all live in a house, and most people have to live within their means. Why is the perception that all people that live in a trailer are bad people? So why is it called "Trailer Trash" if the stigma isn't about where you live? That answer makes absolutely no logical sense.
